What Can You Do With $15 Million?
Here’s a list of what the Mormons could do with $15 Million to improve the lives of others:
- Donate 300,000 heifers to developing countries. 1 cow can produce 4 gallons of milk a day, promoting strong bones in sick children. www.heifer.org
- Buy 2 Renoir paintings and donate them to an art musem for public education.
- Donate 2500 Dell computer labs (that’s 20 computers per lab) to a Minnesota school. www.mncfs.org.
- Provide yellow fever vaccinations for the countries of Chad, Benin and Cameroon from 2002-2015. www.gavialliance.org.
- Donate 1.5 million books to in need children. www.booksforkidsfoundation.org.
- Purchase 300,000 acres of rainforest to fight global warming, perserving our planet for future generations. www.rainforest.org.
- Produce all of 2007’s Oscar-nominated documentary films, dealing with such themes as national health care and the war.
- Build 100 homes in New Orleans for Katrina victims. www.makeitrightnola.org.
- Pay for 600,000 phone calls to the prevention of child abuse hotline. www.childhelp.org.
- Sponsor 600,000 cats at no kill animal shelters. www.bestfriends.org.
Or you could strip a minority of its civil rights.
